Yusuf Merchant is the Vice President and Head of Financial Structuring at Peaceinvest.
Yusuf is a certified and experienced professional in the financial services industry, specializing in Capital Markets, Project Finance Private Equity and Treasury. He has held senior roles at Lloyds Banking Group MUFG Securities, Metro Bank and Aviva Plc. Yusuf has originated over GBP 20bn of Structured Transactions and Asset-Backed securities across social housing, small-medium enterprise, infrastructure and property. Yusuf is a trained engineer, having worked in Australia, Germany and Taiwan. Yusuf is also a passionate entrepreneur and investor having worked in Private Equity and Venture Capital Firm, in various stints since 2013 with a focus on Healthcare, Life Sciences, Micro-Finance and Renewable Technology transactions. Yusuf received his CFA and Certificate in Islamic Finance in 2013 and Certificate of Quantitative Finance in 2007. He has a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Western Australia and a Master of Finance from Macquarie University in Sydney.
