Repurposing initiatives

Elevate project opportunities by strengthening their foundations and revising their financing structure for returns.

Our Repurposing Initiatives focus on identifying stranded assets and transforming them into valuable resources that benefit both communities and the environment. Very often, land-intensive renewable energy and other infrastructure projects will be frozen or hampered by a lack of community buy-in or other complex dynamics in the environment. Peaceinvest’s unique peacebuilding expertise can contribute to turning stranded projects around and revitalizing their financial models to better reflect the integration of key stakeholders into the business. In this and many other ways, Peaceinvest can transform the risk profile of those projects and render them profitable and sustainable.

These include all types of infrastructures and businesses that have the potential to be adapted to ESG and Peace Finance Standards but lack funding and strategic oversight.

In repurposing initiatives, we ensure the best possible forms of:

  • Resource Optimization: We identify opportunities to repurpose existing assets, infrastructure, or resources in innovative ways to maximize their value and minimize waste.
  • Community Engagement: Our Repurposing Initiatives actively involve local communities in the planning and implementation process, ensuring that projects are tailored to meet their specific needs and priorities.
  • Social Impact: We prioritize initiatives that have the potential to generate positive social impact, such as creating employment opportunities, revitalizing neighbourhoods and rural areas, or improving access to essential services.
  • Innovation: We encourage innovative thinking and creativity, seeking out novel solutions to complex challenges and leveraging emerging technologies.

Our repurposing strategies are case-specific. If you want to know more or are interested in submitting a proposal to repurpose your investment, please reach out to us at info@peaceinvest.net
